System Administrator

- We are looking for a skilled System Administrator to handle our companys tech setup and keep everything running smoothly on our on-site systems. The right person should know a lot about Windows computers, networks such as Wi-Fi and firewalls, storage options (NAS), and basic security, and should be able to set up reliable tools and implement important network rules. In this job, you will monitor the network and devices every day, manage user accounts, fix issues quickly, and plan ahead to keep our team working without problems.

Responsibilities:
Desktop and End-User Support:
- Provision and configure new laptops/PCs: OS imaging, software deployment, user-profile migration
- Set up new users: account creation, mailbox provisioning, permissions
- Install and troubleshoot printers, scanners, and peripherals
- Provide technical support to users
Server, Directory, Storage & Database Services:
- Administer Windows Servers: AD, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP; apply patches and monitor health
- Configure and manage NAS: volumes, RAID, share permissions, snapshots, tiering
- Install, update, and maintain databases
- Implement server-side recycle bin/versioning; oversee backup and restore processes; maintain disaster-recovery documentation
Networking Infrastructure:
- Design, deploy, and maintain LAN/WAN: switches, routers, VLANs, routing protocols, QoS
- Configure secure private network segments and VPNs (site-to-site and remote access)
- Manage office internet, Wi-Fi, and firewall rules; troubleshoot connectivity with ping, tracert, nslookup, and packet captures
- Setup remote desktop configurations with security features.
Cloud Services and Microsoft 365:
- Deploy and administer M365 workloads: Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive
- Plan and execute migrations from on-prem Exchange and file servers to cloud services
- Configure Entra ID: Conditional Access, security groups, self-service password reset, device compliance
- Monitor service health; coordinate with Microsoft support during incidents
Security, Logging, Privacy & Compliance:
- Enforce endpoint protection, vulnerability scanning, and strict security/privacy policies
- Centralize logging via Syslog/SIEM; analyze events for anomalies; generate compliance reports
- Implement data-encryption standards, access-control audits, and privacy preference management
- Conduct periodic security assessments; patch vulnerabilities; enforce data-sharing controls
Asset Management and Procurement
- Maintain inventory of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, SIM cards, peripherals, and consumables
- Coordinate procurement, warranty tracking, hardware retirement, and software license renewals
Skill Requirement:
- Operating Systems: Windows client/server (Active Directory, Group Policy)
- Networking: LAN/WAN design and troubleshooting (switching, routing, VLANs); DNS; DHCP; TCP/IP; VPNs; private network segmentation; office internet, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi, VPN gateways
- Storage & Backup: NAS administration (SMB/NFS, RAID, snapshots); backup solutions (image-based, file-level, cloud); disaster-recovery planning; server-side recycle bin/versioning, folder redirection, NTFS/ACL permissions
- Cloud & Database Services: Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams) administration and migrations; database installation, updates, and maintenance
- Security & Privacy: Firewall configuration; IDS/IPS fundamentals; antivirus/endpoint protection; strict security and privacy policies (on-premises and cloud); centralized logging (Syslog/SIEM); audit and compliance; managing privacy preferences; data-sharing controls
- Hardware & Peripherals: PC/Laptop builds and imaging; workstation provisioning; printers/scanners; mobile devices; headsets; docking stations; CCTV support; System performance monitoring; patch management; capacity planning
- Scripting & Automation: Bash/PowerShell scripting for task automation and system administration
