Job Description

This is a Night Shift Job (EST Hours)

You’ll be the first line of technical defense for our high‐scale DSP—triaging incidents, restoring service quickly, validating data integrity, and ensuring campaigns run smoothly from creation → approval → audience activation → bidding → reporting (Preliminary owned by our AdOps team). You’ll use SQL across Snowflake, Postgres, MySQL, and Athena to investigate and resolve issues, communicate clearly with U.S. stakeholders, and drive sustainable, “fix‐it‐once” outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Incident response & triage (L2): Own SEV‐3/4 issues end‐to‐end; participate in SEV‐2 bridges with L3/Engineering.
  • Data & pipeline checks: Run SQL diagnostics in Snowflake/Athena/Postgres/MySQL to validate spend, impressions, clicks, conversions, pacing, and eCPM/win‐rate anomalies.
  • Campaign support: Resolve campaign setup and under‐delivery issues (targeting, budgets, pacing, frequency caps, creative approvals), coordinating with Ops/AMs.
  • Runbooks & sustainable fixes: Execute and improve runbooks; propose small permanent fixes and quality‐of‐life automations that reduce repeat incidents.
  • Monitoring: Watch health dashboards (latency, QPS, error rates, job failures); create alerts for recurring patterns.
  • Stakeholder communication: Provide clear, timely updates to U.S. stakeholders—issue, impact, ETA for mitigation, and follow‐up actions.
  • Escalation: Gather clean repro steps, logs, and query outputs for L3/Engineering handoffs.

What We Are Looking For

  • 2–5 years in production support/operations or data support for high‐throughput systems (adtech strongly preferred).
  • Strong SQL across Snowflake, Postgres, MySQL, Athena; comfort with query debugging, joins, partitions, and performance basics.
  • Solid Linux fundamentals; scripting in Python or Bash for diagnostics/automation.
  • Working knowledge of DSP concepts: ORTB request/response, bidders, win‐rate, pacing, floors, audience segments, brand safety/creative approvals.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication for U.S. audiences; crisp incident notes and status emails/Slack updates.
  • Mindset: sustainable fixes, RCA first, automate repetitive tasks, and maintain a high bar for customer trust.
