As a Staff / Lead Software Engineer at Black Duck Software, Inc., you will play a crucial role in implementing complex and innovative solutions while providing guidance to junior engineers. Key Qualifications: - Possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in developing large enterprise applications using microservices architecture and container orchestration technologies, ideally running on Kubernetes or cloud platforms. - Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional innovative projects. - Expertise in at least one object-oriented programming language and scripting language, with preference given to Java, Golang, Python, and Perl. - Strong background in systems design, including experience in scalable architecture and performance optimization. - Proficient in Agile methodologies and DevOps practices. - Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically. - Strong leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills, both in-person and in remote settings. Key Responsibilities: - Provide technical leadership to the engineering team by leveraging best practices in SaaS and related technologies. - Collaborate with cross-functional team members to design and deliver innovative technical solutions that add value to our customers. - Focus on optimizing system performance to meet high standards of quality and efficiency. - Contribute to defining development guidelines to ensure consistency and efficiency in the software development process. - Mentor and coach other team members, offering technical training and support as needed. - Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, learning from both successes and failures, and guide the team towards adopting the most effective practices.
