Job Description

As a member of the AI engineering team at Teradata, you will play a crucial role in designing and deploying advanced AI agents that integrate deeply with business operations, turning data into insight, action, and measurable outcomes. You will architect foundational components for production-grade AI systems, including agent frameworks, LLM pipelines, and observability layers to ensure reliability, accountability, and performance. Your responsibilities will go beyond building models to making them measurable, debuggable, and trustworthy in real-world, high-stakes deployments. You will work alongside a high-caliber team of AI researchers, engineers, and data scientists tackling challenging problems in AI and enterprise software. Your collaboration will cover scalable multi-agent coordination, LLM applications, real-time monitoring, drift detection, and closed-loop retraining systems. If you are passionate about building intelligent systems that are powerful, observable, resilient, and production-ready, this role offers you the opportunity to shape the future of enterprise AI. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and prototype interfaces for interacting with autonomous agents - Implement responsive, accessible, and explainable UI components for visualizing AI decisions - Collaborate with AI researchers and software engineers to ensure interfaces support emerging agent capabilities - Conduct usability testing with humans-in-the-loop scenarios - Drive UX best practices for safety, trust calibration, and explainability for intelligent systems - Explore and implement planning systems, vector databases, or memory architectures - Develop and enhance native notebook experiences for seamless interaction with AI workflows - Implement unit tests for UI components to ensure reliability **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field - Excitement for AI and large language models (LLMs) - Experience in UI/UX design and frontend engineering - Strong understanding of human-computer interaction - Familiarity with open-source tools and technologies - Ownership mindset and proactive attitude towards responsibility - Experience in software development (Python, Go, or Java preferred) - Familiarity with backend service development, APIs, and distributed systems - Interest or experience in LLMs, autonomous agents, or AI tooling - Knowledge of containerized environments and CI/CD pipelines - Experience with AI observability tools and practices Teradata prioritizes a people-first culture, embraces flexible work models, focuses on well-being, and is an anti-racist company committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.,
