Description
As a Senior Software Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in architecting and building the technical foundation of our AI Experiences platform. You will have the opportunity to work at the cutting edge of AI/ML and mobile application development, collaborating directly with the CTO and CEO. Your decisions and contributions will impact millions of users who engage with AI-driven conversations, story experiences, and AI agents. **Role Overview:** You will be responsible for designing and implementing APIs, integrating advanced AI models, building intelligent AI agents, optimizing prompt engineering workflows, and developing production-grade React Native applications. Your work will involve frontend & mobile development, backend & API development, AI & ML integration, DevOps & quality, as well as collaboration with key stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Frontend & Mobile Development:** - Develop and maintain React Native applications for iOS and Android, managing the full app development lifecycle. - Create intuitive and responsive mobile interfaces for natural AI conversations and story experiences. - Implement real-time communication features using WebSockets for seamless user interactions. - Optimize application performance for smooth experiences across devices and network conditions. - Handle app store submission processes and manage app releases. - **Backend & API Development:** - Design and build robust, scalable APIs using JavaScript and TypeScript to power the conversational AI platform. - Architect and implement AI/ML integrations, working with large language models and AI agents. - Build and optimize vector databases for semantic search and retrieval systems. - Implement RAG architectures for enhanced AI responses. - Design and maintain database systems (PostgreSQL, Redis) with optimization and scaling strategies. - Develop AI agent workflows and systems. - **AI & ML Integration:** - Master prompt engineering and tuning to optimize AI responses for quality and user engagement. - Collaborate with AI researchers to implement and fine-tune ML models for conversational experiences. - Build intelligent AI agents with decision-making capabilities. - Stay updated with the latest AI/ML technologies and conversational interfaces. - **DevOps & Quality:** - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable deployments with automated testing. - Implement comprehensive testing strategies including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end testing. - Deploy and manage applications on AWS infrastructure with containerization. - Establish engineering best practices, code quality standards, and technical documentation. - **Collaboration:** - Work closely with the CTO, CEO, and designers to translate product vision into technical reality. - Participate in technical planning, architecture decisions, and code reviews. **Qualifications Required:** - Deep passion for AI/ML with hands-on experience in building AI-powered applications. - Expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript for building production APIs. - Strong experience with React Native for mobile applications on iOS and Android. - Knowledge of prompt engineering, prompt tuning, and working with LLMs. - Understanding of vector databases, semantic search technologies, and RAG architectures. - Experience with real-time systems, WebSocket communications, and database optimization. - Strong testing mindset with unit testing, integration testing, and test automation experience. - Knowledge of API design principles, RESTful services, and authentication/authorization. - Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and mobile app analytics. - Problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex systems. - Self-starter mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment. *Note: Bonus points will be awarded for experience in fine-tuning ML models, mobile app analytics, open-source AI/ML projects, early-stage startups, building conversational AI applications, and content moderation for AI systems.*,
