As a Senior Staff Engineer at JazzX AI, you will operate as a strategic technical leader, driving platform architecture, guiding critical projects, and influencing product direction. Your role will involve serving as a hands-on contributor, providing technical mentorship across teams, and partnering with senior stakeholders to ensure innovative, robust solutions aligned with the company's long-term vision. Additionally, you will play a key role in fostering a high-performance engineering culture that emphasizes collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement. Your key responsibilities will include defining and evolving JazzX.ai's technical strategy, owning the end-to-end architecture for key platform components, evaluating emerging technologies, and leading complex, high-impact engineering initiatives that require coordination across multiple product and infrastructure teams. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to scope technical requirements, serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, guide and mentor engineers at all levels, champion best practices in code quality and architecture reviews, and foster an inclusive and innovative engineering culture. You will also partner with the AI research engineering team to design and implement modern AI frameworks and capabilities as production services in the platform, drive the exploration and adoption of state-of-the-art AI/ML technologies, identify strategic opportunities for AI integration, define and enforce SLAs for mission-critical services, and collaborate with Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) and Security teams to optimize performance and maintain compliance with industry standards. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience, along with 10-12+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 5 years in technical leadership roles. You should have deep expertise in programming languages, distributed systems, backend architecture, cloud platforms, microservices, event-driven architectures, container orchestration tools, large-scale data processing, streaming platforms, databases, AI/ML frameworks, and operationalizing machine learning solutions. Experience with MLOps practices, AI agent frameworks, and exceptional leadership and soft skills are also required.
