Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer at Qualys, you will be working on an exciting project developing container security solutions. You will play a crucial role in shaping a new product offering by collaborating with a team of engineers and architects to prototype, design, develop, and support highly scalable SaaS-based security offerings. Key Responsibilities: - Prototype, design, develop, and support highly scalable SaaS-based security offerings - Utilize C++ and Golang programming skills on the Windows Platform - Work with containers, Kubernetes, and different runtimes - Create container images with a strong understanding of multistage build - Have experience with Windows internals - Engage in design, prototype, development, test, and performance profiling - Utilize development tools like GIT, JIRA, Jenkins Qualifications Required: - Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science or equivalent - 5+ years of hands-on experience developing software products and solutions - Proficiency in C++ and Golang programming on the Windows Platform - Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, and different runtimes - Experience in creating container images, preferably with multistage build understanding - Strong understanding of Windows internals - Proficient with development tools like GIT, JIRA, Jenkins As a candidate for this role, you should possess the following soft skills: - Take complete ownership for successful delivery of assigned products, components, modules, and features - Demonstrate high quality focus and Test-Driven Development practices - Experience in developing complex software projects with short release cycles - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision - Collaborative team player with a can-do attitude - Strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement - Knowledge of Ansible, CoreOS, Kubernetes, and distributed systems is an added advantage.,
