Description
The job involves estimating development schedules, determining project scope, creating code that meets design specifications, following standards, and ensuring code is easy to maintain. You will be responsible for testing and peer reviewing code for technical accuracy, standards, and functional compliance, and providing technical assistance and training to other departments and peers. Working closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure thorough testing of the product is essential. You will collaborate with Documentation to ensure proper documentation of enhancements, bug fixes, and new products. Additionally, working with the Product Management team to meet project requirements is crucial. As a part of the Development team, you will be responsible for initiating and implementing complex technical designs across multiple application tiers. Mentoring and training entry-level software engineers will be part of your role. The job also involves working on enterprise-level projects, developing web applications and web services, and having a minimum of 5+ years of experience in C#, Java, C++, or related languages. Strong relational database experience using SQL and ORM tools is required. You should have 5-7 years of working knowledge and experience in programming with Microsoft C# or other object-oriented languages. An understanding of various development processes such as SCRUM, Agile, RAD, etc., including specification, documentation, and quality assurance is necessary. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role. The minimum educational requirement is a BA/BS or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent industry experience. Preferred experience includes 3+ years of Microsoft SQL Server database experience using nHibernate and LINQ, coding multi-tier global-ready enterprise systems offered via SaaS, and knowledge of WPF, WCF, and WF aspects of Microsoft .NET Framework.
