Sr. Design Engineer

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will lead the design and development of components, assemblies, and systems using CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, and AutoCAD. Your primary responsibility will be to translate product requirements and customer needs into robust engineering solutions. You will conduct design calculations, tolerance stack-ups, and DFMEA to ensure the integrity of the design. Additionally, you will create 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation. Collaboration with manufacturing, quality, and procurement teams will be crucial for design feasibility, cost optimization, and implementing DFM/DFA practices. You will coordinate prototype builds, testing, and validation to ensure alignment with the design intent. Managing design changes through the ECR/ECN process and driving product improvement initiatives will also be part of your role. Furthermore, you will mentor junior design engineers, supporting their technical development. It will be essential to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards such as ISO, ASME, and DIN. Your involvement in design reviews will contribute to maintaining project timelines and delivering on project goals. To qualify for this position, you should hold a B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (M.E. / M.Tech is a plus) and have at least 5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in industries like manufacturing, automotive, industrial machinery, or consumer products.
