SQL Support WITH Devops

Job Responsibilities:

• SQL Production Support:

• Provide comprehensive support for SQL databases, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing performance.
• Develop and execute complex SQL queries and scripts to facilitate data analysis and reporting.
• Manage incident resolution processes, ensuring minimal downtime and prompt issue resolution.
• Maintain and update documentation related to database configurations, processes, and procedures.

• DevOps Engineering:

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins to automate software builds, tests, and deployments.
• Utilize containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes to deploy and manage applications efficiently.
• Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS services including EC2 and CloudWatch, to ensure high availability and scalability.
• Implement monitoring and logging solutions using tools like Datadog, Splunk, or similar, to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement and automation.

Required Skills:

• SQL Expertise:

• Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries and scripts.
• Experience in SQL production support roles, including incident management and performance tuning.

• DevOps Proficiency:

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins.
• Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) technologies.
• Experience with AWS services, particularly EC2 and CloudWatch.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Datadog, Splunk, or similar.
• Proficiency in Linux operating systems and scripting languages for automation.

• Additional Skills:

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira for project management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in managing and supporting large-scale production environments.
• Relevant certifications in SQL, DevOps, or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and practices.
