Job Title: Specialist - Software EngineeringLocation: ChennaiWe are seeking a highly-skilled and experienced Specialist - Software Engineering to join our dynamic and growing team in Chennai. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions to address complex business issues while providing technical leadership and making significant contributions to our product development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality software design and architecture by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
• Developing and customizing applications using Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, and other technologies.
• Perform detailed design, coding, testing, and all related documentation for a project.
• Use Git for software version control and Maven for managing project builds.
• Manage MySQL databases and ensure the seamless flow of data throughout the system.
• Integrate software components and third-party programs using JBPM.
• Troubleshoot, debug, upgrade existing software.
• Perform performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation.
• Effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders, and management to ensure that business requirements are met.
• Follow both standard SDLC and Agile processes in the project execution.
• Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, and estimates.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Oracle Certified Professional Java SE 8 Programmer.
• 4 to 7 years of robust experience in Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate with expertise in design, development, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and deployment.
• Hands-on programming experience in J2EE technologies and hands-on program integration experience in JBPM.
• Proficient in Git, MySQL, Maven.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile principles and traditional project management principles and practices.
• Ability to produce professional, technically sound solutions and good communication skills.
• Familiar with standard SDLC and Agile processes.
