Solution Architect Test Frameworks (Telecom, Kubernetes)

A Solution Architect will lead the design and delivery of AI-enabled, scalable test frameworks for Kubernetes-based telecom applications. This pivotal role within our dynamic team focuses on revolutionizing the validation processes for 4G/5G Core and Packet Core networks, driving innovation through automation and AI integration. Will work closely with Product, R&D, QA, and Site Reliability teams. Will have the opportunity to influence architectural decisions, implement best practices, and shape the future of cloud-native telecom validation.

You have:

• A degree in Engineering and 15+ years experience in software/QA/solution architecture with a focus on test framework design for large-scale systems.
• Expertise in Kubernetes/cloud-native Telco applications, including containerization and service mesh.
• Deep knowledge of 5G/4G call flows and N interface protocols for Core Network and Packet Core.
• Proficiency in Robot Framework and experience integrating AI tools for test automation.

It would be nice if you also had:

• Certifications such as CKAD/CKA, ISTQB Advanced/TAE, or TOGAF.
• Experience with CNF validation in public/private clouds (e.g., OpenShift, AKS/EKS/GKE).
• Hands-on experience with model-based testing and observability-driven validation.
• Strong architectural documentation and stakeholder communication skills.

• Architect modular, scalable AI-enabled test frameworks for Kubernetes-deployed Telco applications, focusing on 4G/5G Core and Packet Core.
• Define and implement comprehensive test strategies, ensuring integration with CI/CD pipelines for robust quality control.
• Lead the automation efforts with Robot Framework, developing custom libraries and driving AI tool integration for test optimization.
• Translate complex 4G/5G call flows into automated validation scenarios while ensuring compliance with 3GPP standards.
• Build and maintain resilient, observable testing pipelines that facilitate chaos/fault injection and real-time performance insights.
• Collaborate across teams (Product, R&D, QA, SRE) to integrate testability into product architecture and enhance team competencies through mentorship.
• Monitor and troubleshoot test environments, optimizing resource usage and execution efficiency.
• Utilize metrics for continuous improvement, targeting reduction in test flakiness and cycle time while enhancing defect detection capabilities.
