Software Test Engineer- L2 (Functional)

As a Software Test Engineer - L2 (Functional) with 2-4 years of experience, your role involves the following responsibilities: - Requirement gathering and analysis, identifying ambiguities and gaps in requirements - Participating in walkthroughs of testing procedures - Preparing test plan, generating test scenarios, test data, and test cases associated with functional flow - Carrying out testing as per defined procedures - Performing functional testing, smoke testing, integration testing, cross-browser compatibility testing, regression testing, and API testing in the assigned environment - Ensuring all test-related work is conducted according to defined standards and procedures - Reporting and tracking quality defects - Collaborating with project team members for query and defect resolution - Being agile in testing approach and willing to take up new challenges - Ready to adjust work shifts as per project requirements - Demonstrating technical expertise based on project requirements Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field - ISTQB Foundation level certification is a must - Good understanding of software testing life cycle, defect life cycle, and agile methodology - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work with a team of business analysts and software developers to find solutions - Responsible for test estimation, test planning, test documentation, and test status reporting - Ensuring test execution results are accurate, thorough, and appropriately documented - Good organizational, troubleshooting, and presentation skills - Knowledge about database testing and usage of SQL queries - Good knowledge about API testing and related tools - Familiarity with test management, defect management, and project management tools Additional Company Details: - Familiarity with web automation tools/frameworks - Knowledge about performance testing using the JMeter tool,
