Software Test Engineer 2

As a member of the software development team at Vector Consulting Group specializing in Product Development, you will be involved in various stages of the software development life cycle for products deployed in industries such as Retail, Consumer Products, Automobile, Textile, Engineering, and Construction domains. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform manual testing on web applications to ensure they meet functional and business requirements. - Create, review, and maintain test cases and test scripts based on functional and business requirements. - Identify, document, and track defects/bugs using test management tools and collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues. - Conduct regression testing during each release cycle to ensure existing functionalities remain unaffected. - Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assist stakeholders in understanding test results. - Maintain thorough documentation of test plans, cases, and results, and provide regular reports on testing progress and outcomes. - Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product managers to understand requirements and ensure quality standards are met. - Participate in retrospectives to improve testing processes and methodologies. **Qualifications Required:** - Familiarity with testing tools such as JIRA, TestRail, Quality Center, or similar test management tools. - Basic knowledge of SQL for database testing. - Strong attention to detail and ability to identify issues and inconsistencies within software functionality. - Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking for critical testing scenarios. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting defects and collaborating effectively with team members. - Ability to work collaboratively within an Agile/Scrum development environment. - Understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and testing life cycles (STLC). As an ideal candidate, you should have 3-5 years of experience in manual testing with a proven ability to design and execute test cases. Your educational background should include a UG degree in BTech / B.E/ BSc/ BCA in Any Specialization and a PG degree in MTech / MS/ MSc (Science) / MCA in Any Specialization. The job location for this role is in Thane with a requirement of 5 days of work from the office. The compensation offered will be based on your qualifications and experience.,
