Software Quality Assurance Engineer (SDET)

As a QA Engineer at FICO, you will be a valued member of the Quality Assurance team, contributing to the development of cutting-edge analytic software. Your role will involve developing test plans and strategies aligned with functional requirements, user stories, and user acceptance criteria. You will engage in both manual and automated testing, including "black" and "grey" box testing. Your responsibilities will include executing various types of testing such as application, usability, functional, regression, and performance testing for business applications in a client/server environment. You will review, author, and maintain automated test scripts, evaluate testing results, and communicate product readiness and quality levels to Quality Assurance Management and the project team. Additionally, you will play a key role in identifying gaps in quality assurance processes, proposing solutions, and implementing improvements for continuous enhancement. Participation in release planning and product roll-out will also be part of your responsibilities. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Applications Systems Design, or related field - At least 7 years of overall experience in the software quality assurance industry - Strong QA process knowledge and excellent testing skills - Experience with commercial software development processes - Proficiency in Core Java, Test case Automation using Selenium (or any other Java-based tool), QA concepts and methodologies - Familiarity with test management tools like QTEST, JIRA, Quality Center - Experience in developing and implementing test automation strategies - Working knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL databases - Exposure to Scrum or other agile development methodologies preferred - Hands-on experience in building automation frameworks for GUI and API/Webservices - Working knowledge of Unix and Databases Join FICO to enjoy an inclusive culture that values core principles, provides opportunities for impact and professional growth.
