Software Programmer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Software Programmer who will design, develop and maintain software applications and systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, write high-quality code, debug and maintain applications, and collaborate with other technical team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse business requirements and convert them into technical specifications and functional code.
  
• Write, test, debug and maintain software programs/scripts in one or more programming languages.
  
• Integrate software modules/components into a fully functioning system.
  
• Perform unit testing, system testing, debugging, and bug-fixing of applications.
  
• Optimise performance, ensure security, and maintain quality of software.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, QA, UI/UX, operations) to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  
• Maintain documentation of software designs, code changes and operating procedures.
  
• Stay current with programming trends, tools and best practices; identify opportunities for improvement.

Required Skills :

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  
• Proven experience as a Programmer, Software Developer or similar programming role.
  
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python, JavaScript).
  
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design and architecture patterns.
  
• Experience using version control systems (e.g., Git) and programming/development tools.
  
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and debugging skills.
