Software Principal Engineer

Role Overview: You will be joining the Software Engineering team at Dell Technologies as a Software Principal Engineer in Bangalore. Your primary responsibility will be to develop sophisticated systems and software solutions based on the customers' business goals and general environment. Key Responsibilities: - Contribute to the design and architecture of high-quality, complex systems and software/storage environments - Prepare, review, and evaluate software/storage specifications for products and systems - Contribute to the development and implementation of test strategies for complex software products and systems/storage products and systems Qualifications Required: - Experience in all phases of software development including feasibility, design, implementation, integration, test, and delivery - Proficiency in designing, developing, and maintaining Linux kernel-level device drivers for storage subsystems - Expertise in Linux kernel, SCSI, SCST, Fiber Channel, Virtual Tape Libraries, I/O device drivers, persistent memory, and hardware-assisted compression technologies - Ability to debug and resolve complex kernel and driver-level issues in production environments - Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills - Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: C, Python, Go - Knowledge of version control and bug tracking systems such as Git and JIRA - Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical design, understand business requirements, and collaborate effectively with team members Additional Company Details: Dell Technologies is dedicated to empowering individuals and organizations to transform how they work, live, and play.
