Software Engineering Manager

Job Description: As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of highly engaged associates and contractors to ensure they meet or exceed defined role expectations. You will provide development, coaching, feedback, performance management, career development, and administrative support to the team, mentoring staff to help them reach their peak potential and cultivate high-performing teams. Additionally, you will request and utilize feedback to foster personal development. Key Responsibilities: - Lead a team of highly engaged associates and contractors, providing development, coaching, feedback, performance management, career development, and administrative support. - Oversee at least two Golang microservices and utilize recognized industry models and methodologies to develop, execute, and continuously improve development practices. - Develop and maintain organizational strategies that support current and future workforce, business, and financial needs. - Support at least one business area such as Credit Risk, Account Protection, Customer Care, etc. - Maintain and manage one to two vendor relationships. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. - 10+ years of experience leading a team of engineers in a professional setting. - 5+ years of experience with technical components utilized by the team, including building scalable and reliable distributed systems, public web APIs, and server-side languages and data stores such as Go, Java, PostgreSQL, Redis, etc. - Preferred qualifications include experience developing systems intended for cloud deployments, familiarity with Java, Spring Boot, API, front-end technologies like Javascript and React, managing in an OKR and KPI environment, and knowledge of message-based, loosely coupled architectures like gRPC, Kafka, and Redis.,
