Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer at Tesla, you will be involved in the design and development of software for both current and future generations of Tesla's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Your primary focus will be on creating complex applications to streamline business operations and enhance user experience. In this role, you will collaborate with engineers from various functional areas to deliver value to both internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for designing and developing new modules on Tesla's proprietary ERP application, Warp, which is utilized for planning, procurement, and production of vehicles. Your work will involve developing scalable solutions using technologies such as Angular, C#/.Net, MySQL, and other open stack frameworks. It is essential to have a deep understanding of the applications you work on, both from a business and technical perspective, to maximize your effectiveness. You will be expected to contribute to the timely completion of development tasks and small projects while adhering to company standards. Continuous learning and application of software development best practices, patterns, tools, and technologies are vital aspects of this role. Additionally, you will be encouraged to focus on increasing efficiency and minimizing waste wherever possible to drive continuous improvement. To excel in this position, you should have at least 4 years of experience in web application development, with a strong background in implementing APIs, Object-Oriented Programming and Design (OOP&D), and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM). Proficiency in frontend development using JavaScript, Angular, and React, as well as backend development using C#, Java, and Go, is essential. Familiarity with relational databases, SQL, NoSQL, Agile Development methodologies, and distributed source control tools like Git is also required. A degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience is preferred.
