Software Engineer- Shopify Developer

As a Shopify Developer with 7-10 years of total experience and a minimum of 5+ years in the eCommerce domain, your role will primarily involve working on Shopify. You are expected to showcase leadership skills by ideating, providing solutions, and defining roadmaps for clients migrating to Shopify from other eCommerce packages, with a preference for those who have experience in migrations, particularly from SFCC to Shopify. Key Responsibilities: - Perform full-stack web application development using languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, and React. - Demonstrate proven skills in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with a solid understanding of the DOM. - Previous experience working with custom themes and/or the Storefront API. - Familiarity with Shopify's theming system and Liquid templating. - Experience in implementing and debugging third-party Shopify apps. - Prefer candidates with a background in building unique solutions or custom apps within Shopify. - Proficiency in vanilla JavaScript, jQuery, ES2015/ES6, and current JavaScript frameworks. - Working knowledge of Shopify's object/properties, AJAX API, and Meta fields. - Preferably, familiarity with cloud provider services like AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and the ability to apply them in code. - Familiarity with at least one full-stack or backend framework such as Rails (current stack), Django, Spring, or similar. - Knowledge of at least one JavaScript framework like React (current stack), Vue, Angular, or similar. - Understanding of agile, lean, and DevOps principles, along with testing and CI/CD practices. Qualifications Required: - Passion for writing clean, elegant code. - Experience in working with streaming media or wellness verticals. - Proficiency in four or more aspects of the tech stack, including Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Javascript/TypeScript, Postgres, Arango, Elasticsearch, Redis, Heroku, AWS, New Relic, Docker, Kubernetes, and Stripe APIs.
