In this role, you will work on ingestion and query execution systems, improving query performance and reliability across large datasets. You will develop scalable ingestion pipelines, design new query functions, and optimize the platform for high throughput and efficiency. Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ingestion plugins to integrate diverse data sources
- Build and extend query functions and expressions to support complex data operations
- Optimize query engine performance to ensure high-speed and reliable execution
- Conduct and participate in code and design reviews to maintain high-quality standards
- Handle on-call escalations related to the ecosystem team, ensuring system stability
- Collaborate with peers to define technical solutions and continuously improve platform architecture
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a backend software engineer
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Go, C, or C++
- Solid understanding of distributed systems principles and performance optimization
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Bonus: Prior experience working on database internals or similar complex systems
- Strong problem-solving skills, a growth mindset, and ability to work in a collaborative environment
