Software Engineer - Production Support

As an Application Support Analyst at Socit Gnrale, your role involves supporting applications in the Financial Domain. You are expected to have technical expertise in Oracle, Teradata, Informatica, and Unix operating systems. Proficiency in SQL, Unix, and experience with Control-m are also essential. Your responsibilities include monitoring processes during production runs, communicating information to the advisory team, and identifying opportunities for automation and enhancements to ensure efficient task performance and Business-As-Usual operations. - Basic SQL, Informatica, Teradata, Oracle & Unix expertise required - Flexibility to work 24*7 on-call (including weekends) on a rotation basis during critical times - Willingness to work on different shifts starting from 5:30 AM PST to 6:00 PM PST - Quick learner in terms of process and technologies - Experience in Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, ITIL, and Data Analysis - Possession of ITIL fundamental certification will be advantageous - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to communicate proposed solutions to stakeholders effectively - Monitoring production processes and communicating information to the advisory team - Raising production support issues to the project team - Identifying opportunities for automation and small enhancements - Ensuring team efficiency in performing tasks and maintaining BAU operations To qualify for this role, you should have: - Minimum 2+ years of experience in Application Support in the Financial Domain - Exposure to Oracle, Teradata, Informatica, and Unix operating systems - Proficiency in SQL, Unix, and at least 2-3 years of experience in Control-m - Prior knowledge of the risk chain is beneficial At Socit Gnrale, employees are encouraged to be drivers of change and contribute positively to the future.
