Software Engineer (PHP)

You will be a PHP Developer at Synapse, contributing to the development of cloud-native technologies in a cutting-edge environment. Your primary focus will be on designing and implementing attractive, user-friendly websites using your expertise in CMS platforms such as WordPress and Magento. As a seasoned developer, you must have a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, a commitment to excellence, and a proactive attitude to deliver high-quality results within strict timelines. With 4-8 years of relevant experience, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or an MBA. Your key skills should include proficiency in Core PHP, WordPress, Custom Plugin development, Magento, along with a keen eye for aesthetics and strong content management abilities. Your prior experience should cover aspects such as working with SDLC and Agile methodologies, understanding PHP's synchronous behavior and MVC design patterns, creating parent-child parallax themes, customizing plugins, deploying plugins in marketplaces, and familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery. Experience in building user interfaces with responsive designs, debugging tools like Firebug and Chrome inspector, CSS changes impact analysis, interaction with RESTful APIs, and code deployment pipelines will be essential. Additionally, you should possess decision-making skills to navigate complex situations, prioritize conflicting demands, and escalate issues when necessary. Exposure to other CMS platforms, Magento 2.0, and PHP frameworks like Laravel or CodeIgniter would be advantageous. The position is based in Indore, Pune, or other locations in India.
