Software Engineer - Node.JS

As a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer in this Fintech/Finance Distributed Systems domain, your role will involve architecting, building, and scaling robust backend systems for high-growth consumer and fintech applications. You will be instrumental in solving complex engineering challenges, optimizing database performance, improving system reliability, building secure infrastructures, and contributing to data-driven product decisions. Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as product, design, and DevOps is key, as you shape the backend architecture and engineering roadmap. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, Express, Apollo GraphQL, SQL, and NoSQL databases. - Build and optimize REST & GraphQL APIs with high performance, low latency, and strong reliability. - Architect microservices and modular backend components for high availability and horizontal scalability. Database Engineering & Optimization: - Lead end-to-end database architecture across PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis. - Perform large-scale schema migrations, indexing strategies, performance tuning, query optimization, and replication-based setups. - Implement caching layers using Redis, including intelligent caching strategies. Infrastructure, DevOps & Security: - Manage production-ready infrastructure on AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront). - Implement CI/CD pipelines on Azure DevOps. - Ensure security best practices and compliance with fintech-grade data protection. Performance & Reliability: - Improve codebase quality, stability, and resilience through testing frameworks and automation. - Diagnose and solve production issues, memory leaks, CPU spikes, and scaling bottlenecks. Cross-functional Collaboration: - Work with product managers and designers to define technical requirements and improve user experience. - Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews, architecture discussions, and engineering best practices.
