Description
As a member of the Cisco Distributed System Engineering (DSE) group, you will be at the forefront of developing products that power the largest networks in the world. Your role will involve building platform SDK on Silicon Architecture, tackling complex technology, and working with in-house and open-source technologies. You will be part of a team that is passionate about building large-scale distributed systems and driving the transformation of the networking industry to build the next-generation network infrastructure. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and develop DevOps components for network operating systems SDK, hardware infrastructure, and platform components. - Develop and maintain tools to accelerate software development, focusing on build, packaging, and installation of SDK. - Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize hardware-software interactions and expose hardware capabilities through standardized interfaces. - Write, review, and optimize code for critical system modules, drivers, and APIs supporting high-performance data planes and control planes. - Work with Technical Leader on the technical architecture to develop tools and common infrastructure components. **Qualifications Required:** - Around 10 years of software development experience, with strong exposure to distributed architecture. - Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Docker and Linux-based infrastructures. - Proven track record of enhancing infrastructure through automation and tool development. - Excellent knowledge of building applications using make files, source code management, Maven, Debian images, etc. - Familiarity with various tools and open-source technologies. - Proficiency in Python and Groovy scripts, Git, GitHub workflows, and CI/CD pipelines. - Good understanding of monitoring, alerting, logging frameworks, and databases, including NoSQL databases. - Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills. - Team player with excellent communication and presentation abilities. - Self-motivated, quick learner, and committed to accelerating agile development processes. - Experience with SONiC program is a significant advantage.
