Software Engineer in Test

Insight Global are hiring an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join the Benchmark & Index Management team at a leading global financial services firm. It is a 12-month contract hybrid position which will require you to go into the office in Bangalore at least once a week.

You'll play a central part in building out Python-based test automation frameworks, developing large-scale regression suites, and transforming the QA process from lengthy manual cycles into efficient, automated, and predictive testing. This is a tech-led initiative with strong visibility, giving you the chance to shape frameworks, influence best practices, and drive meaningful improvements to release timelines.

Must haves:

• 5+ years in QA automation / SDET roles
• 2+ years of hands-on Python coding experience (must be able to script and build frameworks)
• Strong SQL expertise, and the ability to read, test, and validate stored procedures
• Proven background in backend database testing (not just UI automation)
• Experience building or enhancing test automation frameworks (PyTest, Pandas, Playwright, Selenium)
• Familiarity with BDD (Gherkin) implementation
• Exposure to performance testing tools

Plusses:

• Cloud knowledge (Azure or AWS) is a bonus
• Financial services or index/benchmark experience
