Role Overview

Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Electron desktop app

What You’ll Do

• Serve as

  first-line support

  for the engineering team, helping to triage and reproduce reported issues.
• Own

  bi-weekly regression testing

  , ensuring stable releases and reliable feature coverage.
• Identify gaps in our current test plans and

  write automation tests

  for missing smoke tests across features.
• Contribute to, and improve, our

  unit and integration test coverage

  , guided by tools like

  SonarQube

  .
• Design and implement

  test automation for our Electron app

  integrated with

  GitHub Actions

  .
• Collaborate with developers to ensure high-quality pull requests and resilient builds.
• Work with AI-powered features to design test cases and prompts that validate intelligent behavior and performance.

What You Need to Know

• Strong programming skills in

  Python

  and

  JavaScript

  .
• Experience with

  Playwright

  for automated browser and UI testing.
• Solid understanding of

  Git

  and standard version control workflows.
• Familiarity with

  GitHub Actions

  for CI/CD automation.

Nice to Have

• Experience testing

  Electron

  applications.
• Understanding of

  AI models

  , especially around creating effective prompts and validating model behavior.
