Software Engineer III (Java backend)

Role Overview: As a member of the team building Integration Gateway, Guidewire's cloud-native integration platform, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and running cloud-native integration platform and SaaS services. Your role will involve hands-on coding for more than 90% of the time, owning Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) for your services, ensuring scalability, availability, and data security, triaging and resolving code defects, and maintaining secure code while resolving app security findings. You will work in a highly collaborative environment, contributing to features, enhancements, and bug fixes that help Guidewire customers connect their cloud systems. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and run cloud-native integration platform and SaaS services - Engage in hands-on coding for over 90% of your time - Own Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) for your services - Ensure scalability, availability, and data security for your services - Triage and resolve code defects - Maintain secure code and resolve app security findings Qualifications Required: - Minimum 6+ years of work experience - Excellent programming skills in Java - Experience with Apache Camel integration framework is a plus - Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, multithreading, and AWS (or any public cloud) - Deep understanding of Algorithms, Data Structures, and performance optimization techniques - Working knowledge with Kubernetes, AWS, and Docker - Experience with AWS DynamoDB - Experience with React.js is a plus - Experience with SQS, S3, and Kafka are a plus - Understanding of distributed systems concepts and principles (consistency and availability, liveness and safety, durability, reliability, fault-tolerance, consensus algorithms) - Ability to work in an agile fast-paced environment - B. Tech or M.
