Job Description

As a Software Engineer II-3 at Mastercard, you will be a part of the Corporate Solutions team, a rapidly growing organization dedicated to delivering innovative solutions to help customers grow their businesses globally. Your role will involve hands-on building of performant, scalable, and secure web applications, providing leadership on system and web application architecture, guiding and coaching less experienced engineers, and focusing on user-centered design. You will also be responsible for spearheading design, technical and code reviews, implementing coding standards, and promoting an Agile approach to software development. Key Responsibilities: - Hands-on building of performant, scalable, and secure web applications - Providing leadership, guidance, and direction on system and web application architecture - Guiding and coaching less experienced engineers - Focusing on user-centered design - Spearheading design, technical and code reviews - Implementing coding standards and approaches - Promoting an Agile approach to software development Qualifications Required: - Experience in designing and developing externally facing web applications using modern single-page application frameworks like Angular and React JS - Good understanding of JavaScript and its benefits and quirks - Proven experience in building ADA and WCAG compliant web applications - Experience in designing and developing cloud-ready REST APIs following industry best practices - Understanding of Cloud Architecture, Messaging frameworks, event-based architecture, and multi-tier web development - Proficiency in Quality engineering, unit testing, and end-to-end testing - Deep knowledge of Continuous Integration and Delivery and Agile principles - Familiarity with Git-based source control systems - Tech Stack: Java 11+, Spring Boot, Apache Kafka, SQL and NoSQL databases, REST API, Angular 11+ In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse global customer base, collaborate with teams across the organization, and contribute to the growth and expansion of businesses.
