Software Engineer

As an experienced professional, you will play a crucial role in the Gallagher Center of Excellence (GCoE) in India, a significant hub for innovation and teamwork within the global operations of Gallagher. Your responsibilities will include: - Conducting business analysis with effective communication skills across all levels. - Documenting requirements, technical specifications, and user guides. - Developing code either individually or in collaboration with other team members. - Participating in code reviews and solution architecture discussions. - Staying updated on the latest technical advances and trends. - Programming using C#, .NET CORE, SQL Server, ASP.NET CORE WebAPI, Angular 2+. - Attending project management meetings as necessary. - Ensuring adherence to organizational processes by the project team. - Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code following coding standards. To excel in this role, you should possess: - A minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience. - A Bachelor's in Engineering/Master of Computer Applications/Master of Computer Science or related certifications. - Strong knowledge of the software development life cycle and hands-on coding experience. - Desirably, a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist in web development. - Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, and .NET frameworks. - Ability to design and develop RESTful Web APIs using ASP.NET Core. - Understanding of software development lifecycle, especially with exposure to AGILE and SCRUM methodologies. - Familiarity with Object-Oriented Design and design patterns. - Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills. - Experience in writing SQL Server scripts using T-SQL. - Knowledge of web application security best practices is advantageous. - Effective technical and layman communication skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. - Capability to work under pressure and seek clarity in ambiguous situations. - Proficiency in handling multiple tasks concurrently.
