Job Summary
Looking for an experienced
Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / Production Support Engineer
with strong expertise in cloud application support, AWS, and enterprise tools. The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end incident triage, application monitori-ng, and automation in a fast-paced production environment.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide production support (L1/L2/L3) for cloud-based and on-premise applications, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Monitor application health using tools like Datadog, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime.
- Perform incident triage and root cause analysis by checking logs, configuration files, and system metrics in Unix/Linux (via vi editor).
- Manage incident, change, and problem tickets using ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM platforms.
- Execute deployments and release activities through CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, uDeploy, Ansible, etc.).
- Develop and maintain automation scripts in Shell, Perl, or Python to improve operational efficiency.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data validation, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
- Support and maintain applications hosted on AWS Cloud and Kubernetes environments.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to resolve production issues and ensure smooth releases.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide timely updates during major incidents.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, documentation, and knowledge base updates.
- Follow ITIL best practices for incident, problem, and change management.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards and assist in audit and reporting activities.
Years Of Experience
3 to 5 years of relevant experience
Educational Qualification & Certifications (Optional)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related discipline.
- Preferred Certifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate / Cloud Practitioner
- Linux Administration Certification (RHCSA or equivalent)
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or equivalent DevOps certification
Skill Set Required
Must Have:
AWS, Unix/Linux, SQL, Python/Shell scripting, Datadog, ServiceNow (ITSM), CI/CD (Jenkins/uDeploy/Ansible), Application Support, Troubleshooting, Incident Management
Nice To Have
Kubernetes, Docker, ITIL processes, Automation, Investment Banking domain knowledge, Control-M/Autosys, Perl scripting
