Software Engineer- Cloud Networking

Role Overview: At Apple, you will be part of the Cloud Networking team responsible for building software-defined network infrastructure. Your work will be crucial in delivering Apple's services to billions of customers worldwide. Key Responsibilities: - Contribute to the end-to-end production life-cycle, from concept development to deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of large-scale software solutions. - Practice and promote foundational software and systems development principles. - Demonstrate extreme ownership and leadership, with a passion for building elegant and powerful systems to solve complex problems at scale. - Collaborate with team members from diverse technical backgrounds to develop software systems for a global multi-cloud network service platform. - Operationalize software systems and participate in solving production issues. Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of experience in building complex and fault-tolerant systems. - Deep knowledge of networking domain and infrastructure-as-a-code/APIs. - Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP. - Proficiency in C/C++, Go (Golang), Rust, or similar languages in a systems context. - Strong systems programming skills including multi-threading, concurrency, caching, batching, and distributed systems. - Excellent communication skills to articulate concepts, designs, and decisions. - Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and drive closures effectively. - Curiosity, motivation to learn, and the ability to navigate through ambiguity. Additional Details: - Bachelors (Masters degree is an advantage) in Computer Science is preferred.
