Software Engineer (C++, Embedded C)

About the role: As a software engineer in this role, you will be responsible for developing detailed design structures, implementing best practices, and coding standards. You will lead a team of developers to ensure successful project delivery, working on design, architecture, and hands-on coding. Responsibilities: You will design and implement software for embedded/IOT devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment. This includes developing, coding, testing, and debugging system software. You will also review code and designs, analyze system resources for efficiency, stability, and scalability, integrate new product designs, support software QA, optimize I/O performance, and provide post-production support. Additionally, you will interface with hardware design and development, assess third-party and open-source software, and ensure quality through rigorous testing. Requirements: - Proven working experience in software engineering - Hands-on development and troubleshooting experience on embedded targets - Strong programming skills in C or C++ - Experience in embedded systems design with real-time operating systems - Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review - Knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces, and hardware subsystems - Ability to read schematics and data sheets for components - Strong documentation, writing, and communication skills - Entrepreneurial spirit with program and product management skills - Excellent judgment, organizational, and problem-solving abilities - Strong design and architecture knowledge - Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred Skills that will help you succeed in this role: - Technical Stack: C/C++, SQLite, MQTT, TCP, HTTP, AWS IOT Hub - Experience in scaling, performance tuning, and optimization at the client layer - Strong leadership and problem-solving skills Why join us: Join us for the opportunity to make a difference and enjoy the work you do.
