Software Development Engineer in C++/EDA

As a Software Development Engineer at AMD, you will be joining the RTL Synthesis software development team in Hyderabad. Your role will involve designing and developing synthesis features and optimizations for AMD's current and next-generation software tools. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute highly effective software for new technology and product introduction projects - Validate new software features before releasing them to customers - Contribute to a high-functioning feature team - Collaborate with multiple teams to deliver key planning solutions and supporting technology - Contribute to the design and implementation of future architecture for a scalable and innovative system - Work closely with development teams and Project Managers to drive results Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering with at least 3 years of software development experience - Background in EDA tools development is preferred - Strong understanding of computer algorithms and data structures - Proficiency in C++ programming including boost and STL - Familiarity with VLSI Implementation or Verification flow - Knowledge of Verilog or VHDL - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box - Experience with software quality assurance practices and procedures - Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with global teams Preferred Experience: - Compilers and RTL front-end development - RTL Synthesis algorithms, datapath, or high-level synthesis - Timing, area, and power optimizations - Technology mapping - Static timing analysis - Simulation, Formal Verification, or Design For Test - Exposure to FPGAs and FPGA software tool chain As an AMD employee, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of AI and beyond.
