Software Developer - Python IT ||Gurugram

Job Summary

The Python engineer with 3-5 yrs of experience will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining machine learning (ML) models. The candidate will work as part of a diverse team of software engineers and data scientists to develop new models and algorithms to apply artificial intelligence (AI) to to meet Jindal Group's requirements.

As a Python engineer, the candidate is expected to have a keen interest in AI, ML, and staying current with the latest developments in a rapidly changing field. The candidate's duties will include collecting and analyzing data sets to identify patterns and develop predictive and prescriptive algorithmic models.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and develop AI models (such as, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.) to meet project requirements 2. Convert AI/ ML models into APIs that other developers can use 3. Perform statistical analysis on big data sets 4. Work with other ML engineers, data engineers, and AI engineers to develop robust predictive and prescriptive analytical models 5. Troubleshoot and improve existing ML code and models 6. Write reusable, testable, and efficient code 7. Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic 8. Integrate machine learning solutions into existing systems 9. Execute AI/ ML model training and re-training with Jindal Group's data, along with required data cleansing activities 10. Innovation: Invest 10% of effort in innovation outputs related to AI/ ML enabled process improvement

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, business, information system or equivalent experience

2. Experience:
- 3 - 5 years of experience in Python development - 2+ years of experience in AI/ ML model design and development - 3 years of experience working in in heavy industries like Steel Manufacturing/ Power Generation/ Mining industry is desirable

3. Advanced knowledge of statistical and algorithmic models as well as of fundamental mathematical concepts, such as linear algebra and probability

4. Experience working with large data sets and writing efficient code capable of processing large data streams at speed

5. Familiarity with deep learning algorithms and the use of popular AI/ ML frameworks

6. Understanding of the threading limitations of Python, and multi-process architecture

7. Familiarity with agile software development in .NET or JAVA

8. Working knowledge of database systems

9. Ability to organize and plan work independently in a rapidly changing environment

10. Candidates with professional Python development certification will be preferred

11. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.
