Software Developer Intern - Back-end

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain highly scalable backend services with

  Java-Spring, Golang

  and

  Python

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster shared learning and creative solutions
• Learn to Power-use

  AI-driven development tools

  (such as GitHub Copilot) to generate code, enhance quality and efficiency, and diagnose/resolve issues
• Build and manage

  RESTful APIs

  for distributed systems, ensuring reliability and transaction integrity
• Learn application performance measurement / optimization from diagnostics/devops stack
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, architectural patterns, and AI advancements in software engineering

You will have an opportunity to learn and build transaction systems at scale: these include engineering API-driven back-ends for Web/Mobile Apps for order-to-collection workflow, multi-step dataflows, nextgen UX/UI for location tracking and alerting, data stream analysis for real-time insights and anomaly detection, dynamic allocation and cost optimisation based on geo/spatial data processing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science centric Technologies
• Prior hands-on internship(s) in backend development with

  Java 21+

  /

  Spring Framework

  (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data),

  Python

  3.x

• Golang

  hands-on / Gin Framework is a big plus
• Practice with Python-Flask/FastAPI stack for REST APIs would be a big plus
• Basics of Geospatial APIs (Google, OSM) and related operations such as Distance Matrix, Route Optimization would be a big plus
• Basics of distributed systems (microservices, event-driven architectures) and related patterns
• Know-how of SQL databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases
• Hands-on with Agentic AI code assistants (Copilot / Claude Code / Codex) for code generation/reviews is required
• Strong analytical + problem-solving + Fast learning skills are a must

Strongly Preferred Add-ons

• Familiarity with

  DevOps

  covering CI/CD pipelines (GitHub/Jenkins)
• Basics of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
• Familiarity with Test Automation (JUnit, Pytest) for unit-integration-end to end testing
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
