Software Developer

Role Overview :

We are seeking a skilled MongoDB and Node.js Developer to join our dynamic aviation technology team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems that power mission-critical aviation software applications, including asset management platforms, maintenance tracking systems, logistics, and operational dashboards.

Key Responsibilities:

● Design and develop high-performance backend services using Node.js.

● Build and optimise data models and queries using MongoDB for aviation use cases.

● Collaborate with front-end developers, aviation engineers, and DevOps teams to deliver seamless solutions.

● Write clean, modular, and reusable code with clear documentation.

● Work closely with product managers to translate aviation domain requirements into technical specifications that meet the requirements.

● Ensure system scalability, security, and compliance with aviation data protocols.

● Optimise the performance of existing systems, especially in handling large aviation datasets.

● Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/deployment workflows.

Must-Have Skills:

● Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript

● Deep knowledge of MongoDB (including aggregation pipelines, indexing, and schema design)

● Experience in RESTful API development and microservices architecture

● Good understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven systems

● Familiarity with version control systems like Git

● Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

● Exposure to aviation domain data (e.g., MRO, aircraft logs, flight operations) is a plus
