Job Description

Role Overview

The Site Incharge will be responsible for managing and supervising refractory installation and maintenance projects at client sites. This includes planning, coordinating manpower and materials, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and delivering the project within the stipulated timeline and budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and execute refractory lining, gunning, casting, and related site activities.
  • Monitor day-to-day site operations to ensure timely progress and quality workmanship.
  • Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams for smooth project execution.
  • Allocate and supervise site workforce, including contractors and subcontractors.
  • Plan and monitor daily work schedules, shift allocations, and productivity levels.
  • Ensure availability of required materials, tools, and equipment on site.
  • Enforce safety protocols and conduct toolbox talks to maintain safe working conditions.
  • Monitor quality of refractory installation and ensure compliance with company standards and client requirements.
  • Maintain proper documentation of inspections, test reports, and quality checks.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management and client review.
  • Identify risks, delays, and resource requirements and report proactively to higher management.
  • Coordinate with procurement/logistics for timely delivery of materials to site.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical / Civil / Ceramic / Refractory Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 510 years of experience in refractory installation and project management (industrial furnaces, kilns, boilers, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of refractory materials, lining techniques, and quality standards.
  • Hands-on experience with safety compliance and industrial site management.
  • Ability to manage large teams and coordinate multiple stakeholders.

Work Conditions

  • Willingness to work at remote project sites and as per site timeline.
  • Ability to travel anywhere in India and abroad based on project requirements.
