Shopify Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify themes using Liquid, JSON templates, and schema configuration.
• Build reusable and modular components using Shopifys sections and snippets architecture.
• Implement Shopifys template hierarchy and dynamic content rendering for both static and dynamic pages.
• Customize existing Shopify themes or create new ones from scratch to meet design and functionality requirements.
• Integrate third-party APIs and Shopify apps, and extend native functionality where needed.
• Work closely with UI/UX designers to bring mockups to life with responsive, pixel-perfect front-end code (HTML, SCSS/CSS, JavaScript).
• Maintain clean, well-documented, and scalable code following Shopify and industry best practices.
• Optimize websites for performance, accessibility, and SEO.
• Collaborate with stakeholders including marketers, designers, and backend developers to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• 1-5 years of experience developing Shopify themes and customizing Shopify storefronts.
• Strong proficiency in Liquid, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and JavaScript (including Vanilla JS and jQuery).
• Deep understanding of Shopify’s template structure, including templates, sections, snippets, layouts, and global settings.
• Hands-on experience with Shopify schema markup, metafields, and dynamic data integration.
• Solid understanding of Shopify’s JSON template system and dynamic rendering (OS 2.0).
• Experience working with Shopify CLI, version control systems like Git, and deployment workflows.
• Familiarity with performance optimization techniques and cross-browser compatibility.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with Shopify Plus or multi-store environments.
• Knowledge of Shopify APIs (Storefront, Admin, AJAX).
• Understanding of internationalization (i18n), multi-currency, and localization in Shopify.
• Basic knowledge of Liquid rendering performance and best practices.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality code.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to troubleshoot independently.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving Shopify features and best practices.
