Process Development & Improvement: - Design and implement configuration management processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. - Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective CMDB solutions. - Continuously monitor and improve the CMDB processes to align with industry best practices and business needs. Integration & Automation: - Integrate the CMDB with other IT systems and tools to enable automation and improve data flow. - Develop and maintain scripts, workflows, and tools to automate CMDB-related tasks. - Work with IT operations and other teams to ensure seamless integration of CMDB with other ServiceNow modules (e.g., Incident, Change, Problem Management). Reporting & Analytics: - Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into the health and status of the CMDB. - Analyze CMDB data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement. - Provide regular updates and reports to management and stakeholders on CMDB performance. Training & Support: - Provide training and support to IT staff and other stakeholders on CMDB processes and best practices. - Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for CMDB-related queries and issues. Experience: - At least 5 years of experience working with ServiceNow CMDB in a similar role. - Proven experience in managing and maintaining a complex CMDB in a large enterprise environment. Skills: - Strong understanding of ITIL practices, particularly Configuration Management. - Proficiency in ServiceNow platform, specifically in CMDB, Discovery, and Asset Management modules. - Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript, PowerShell, or Python. - Familiarity with integration tools and methodologies. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
