Description
Your role at Micron Technology involves developing and validating computational models for process, structure, and multi-physics analysis using tools like Abaqus, ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL, and Star-CCM. You will conduct simulations, analyze results, and optimize designs to meet industry standards. Additionally, you will utilize data analysis and machine learning techniques to enhance simulation accuracy and efficiency. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to support product development and troubleshoot engineering issues. You will be responsible for preparing technical reports and presentations to communicate analysis results and recommendations effectively. Keeping abreast of the latest advancements in FEA, CFD, numerical methods, computational geometry, and machine learning is crucial for this role. As a qualified candidate, you should hold a Master's or PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, Applied Chemistry, Applied Physics, Materials Science, or related fields. With a minimum of 5 years of experience in computational modeling, you should be proficient in numerical methods, scientific computing, and scripting languages such as Python, MATLAB, FORTRAN, and C++. Experience with data analysis tools and machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow is required. Familiarity with FEA, FVM, PFM, HPEM methods, and implementations is advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are essential qualities for this role. Experience with High-Performance Computing (HPC) in a Linux environment, computational geometry, and mesh generation techniques is beneficial. Preferred skills include knowledge of multi-physics simulations, advanced material models, computational fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, physics, chemistry, and statistical/data analysis. Strong communication and presentation skills, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, are highly valued attributes.
