About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior WordPress Developer who can lead the development, customization, and maintenance of high-quality WordPress websites. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise, experience in custom theme and plugin development, and the ability to build secure, scalable, and optimized websites.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize WordPress websites (front-end & back-end).
• Create and customize themes, templates, and plugins as per project requirements.
• Ensure website performance, speed optimization, and responsiveness across all devices.
• Conduct regular website audits to identify issues, bugs, and security vulnerabilities.
• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, CRM tools, and other external systems.
• Collaborate with the design, content, and marketing teams to deliver high-quality web solutions.
• Handle website migrations, backups, version control, and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and fix technical issues efficiently.
• Ensure SEO-friendly structure, schema, and clean coding practices.
• Manage WordPress updates, patches, and security configurations.
• Lead junior developers and provide technical guidance when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong expertise in WordPress CMS, PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Experience in custom plugin development and custom theme development.
• Proficiency in Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg, and other page builders.
• Deep understanding of WordPress REST API, hooks, filters, and coding standards.
• Hands-on experience in WooCommerce setup, customization, and extensions (optional but preferred).
• Knowledge of Git, version control, and deployment workflows.
• Familiarity with server environments, cPanel, hosting, and DNS.
• Strong understanding of website performance optimization and security best practices.
• Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver within deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Shopify, Laravel, React, or other frameworks (optional).
• Knowledge of SEO tools, Google Analytics, Web Vitals, etc.
• Experience working in an agency or fast-paced environment.
