Role Overview: You will be joining the Cisco Wireless engineering team, responsible for delivering enterprise-grade connectivity solutions across various sectors like offices, campuses, hospitals, stadiums, etc. The team focuses on innovation in access points, wireless controllers, and cloud-managed systems to simplify IT operations and enhance digital experiences. Your role as a Senior Wireless Automation Test Engineer will involve developing high-performance software for Cisco's wireless platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving automated continuous integration and continuous delivery framework. Key Responsibilities: - Review product requirements document and understand customer use cases. - Assist in designing software functional specifications for specific features in collaboration with senior software architects. - Collaborate with senior software development engineers in developing features and participate in early unit and integration tests. - Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for Cisco wireless products. - Perform functional, regression, performance, and interoperability testing for Wi-Fi products and features. - Automate use cases using Python or Ruby. - Develop and maintain Automated CICD framework for wireless platforms. - Analyze and troubleshoot complex wireless networking issues and drive resolutions. - Collaborate with various teams to define test requirements and quality metrics. - Contribute to software test initiatives and share knowledge through brown-bags and tech talks. - Ensure product stability with a high customer focus and perform quality assurance activities such as reproducing customer issues and system testing. - Utilize Generative AI tools to improve efficiency and code quality. - Contribute to automated validation frameworks and test tools to support CI/CD and system integration testing. Required Skills: - 7+ years of experience in software development and testing. - Hands-on experience with Wi-Fi standards, protocols, and security. - Strong networking knowledge including Cisco switches/routers and core network protocols. - Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools. - Deployment experience on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud. - Strong programming skills in Python and C/C++. - Knowledge of software development and quality assurance processes. - Experience with various operating systems like Windows, Linux, Android, and iOS. - Track record of using Generative AI tools effectively for development and debugging. - Stay updated with emerging wireless technologies, standards, and best practices. - Strong analytical skills, teamwork, and communication abilities.
