Senior UI/UX designer

As a Senior UI/UX Designer at our fast-growing healthcare startup focused on telemedicine and digital health solutions, you will be instrumental in shaping the user experience across our ecosystem of applications. Collaborating closely with our co-founder and development team, you will be responsible for designing intuitive, accessible, and compliant user experiences that span multiple healthcare applications such as the patient app, doctor consultation platform, and partner portals. Your key responsibilities will include developing and maintaining comprehensive design systems, designing optimal workflows for patients, doctors, and healthcare partners, ensuring compliance with healthcare accessibility standards, creating interactive prototypes for user testing, and establishing a consistent visual identity across all touchpoints. In addition to your design expertise, you will need to understand and design for clinical workflows and healthcare provider needs, create empathetic interfaces for patients with varying levels of tech comfort, address healthcare data privacy requirements, and balance the needs of patients, doctors, medical stores, and administrators. Collaboration and communication will be crucial aspects of your role as you work closely with cross-functional teams, create detailed specifications for React/React Native implementation, conduct user interviews and usability testing, and iterate rapidly based on user feedback and business requirements. To be successful in this role, you should have at least 3 years of UI/UX design experience, preferably in healthcare or other regulated industries, with a portfolio showcasing complex user flows, design systems, and mobile-first design. Proficiency in design tools such as Figma is required, along with experience in creating and maintaining scalable design components and guidelines. An understanding of healthcare workflows or a willingness to learn medical terminology and processes, expertise in accessibility compliance and responsive design, and basic frontend knowledge are also essential. Soft skills like healthcare empathy, a startup mindset, strong communication skills, and a focus on user-centered design principles will set you up for success in this role. Preferred qualifications include experience with telemedicine or digital health platforms, designing for compliance-heavy industries, and mobile app design experience.
