Job Description

As a Senior Threat Monitoring and Response Engineer at Zendesk, you will play a crucial role in contributing to their Threat Hunting and Incident Response programs. Your responsibilities will involve developing and implementing processes and tools to swiftly and decisively react to identified threats to Zendesk and its customers. Working closely with the Security Engineering teams, you will ensure that the right tools and techniques are in place for monitoring and detecting threats to the Zendesk platform. Key Responsibilities: - Assist with the development of Threat Hunting processes, playbooks, and frameworks. - Participate in threat hunting exercises, focusing on deficiencies requiring additional attention. - Stay updated on new threats and tactics, analyzing attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures from security events. - Manage technical cyber security investigations, triage, and containment. - Contribute to the development and operation of automation and orchestration tools. - Partner with the security engineering team to enhance monitoring and response capabilities. - Actively engage in the cyber security community for knowledge sharing. - Help Zendesk teams and partners understand global cyber events and mitigate threats. - Assist with the design of Threat Monitoring & Response operations. - Develop and mentor junior staff and adapt to change, seek new responsibilities, and thrive in ambiguity. Qualifications Required: - 3+ years of information security response and investigation experience. - 2+ years experience working in a global cloud-based environment. - 2+ or more years experience in a scripting language. - 1+ or more years experience briefing customers throughout the business on current cyber threats and events.
