Senior Staff Software Developer

As a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Black Duck Software, Inc., your role involves providing technical leadership and guiding engineers in maintaining and enhancing the industry-leading application security platform. You will be part of a team that is at the forefront of web application development, utilizing agile practices, cloud-native patterns, and cutting-edge engineering methodologies and tools like GitHub Copilot and other AI/GenAI tools. Key Responsibilities: - Provide technical leadership to multiple engineering teams, implementing best practices for SaaS and related technologies. - Collaborate with architecture and peer product teams to define the product vision, develop the roadmap, and drive technical implementation. - Manage large-scale and complex projects to innovate and address critical customer and internal challenges. - Mentor team members, offer coaching and technical training, and inspire a culture of continuous learning. - Stay updated on industry best practices, successes, and failures, and assist the team in adopting suitable practices. Key Qualifications: - 10+ years of experience in developing large enterprise applications using microservices architecture and container orchestration technologies, running on Kubernetes and/or cloud platforms. - Demonstrated success in delivering strategic projects. - Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language and scripting language (Java, Golang, Python, and Perl preferred). - Strong expertise in systems design, with experience in scalable architecture and performance optimization. - Sound understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices. - Advanced problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and leadership abilities. - Excellent communication skills, both in-person and remote interactions.,
