Senior Solution Architect

Motorola Solutions is looking for a skilled and experienced Software Architect to create innovative, cloud-based microservices solutions. Your role will involve understanding software architecture principles, cloud technologies, and designing complex, scalable, and reliable systems. As a leader and collaborator, you will guide development teams towards delivering high-quality, user-friendly software. With at least 8 years of software architecture experience, including 5 years in microservices architectures, you will lead the design and implementation of scalable and available cloud systems. Proficiency in Java, REST API, Web Services, Hibernate, Spring Framework, and database technologies is essential. Your responsibilities will include designing resilient microservices on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, documenting software architecture specifications, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring adherence to best practices. Keeping up-to-date with software trends, identifying technical risks, and improving development processes will be key aspects of your role. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required, with a Master's degree preferred. Experience with AngularJS or Angular, containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices is expected. Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team are essential for success in this role.
