Job Description

As a Senior Software Quality Engineer at Mastercard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software solutions. Your responsibilities will include participating in requirements discussions, test planning, and test data creation. You will work closely with project teams to meet deadlines, identify emerging issues, and recommend solutions. Additionally, you will design and develop test automation frameworks to validate system interfaces and complete software solutions. Collaboration with business and development stakeholders is essential to define test plans and schedules. You will translate complex system requirements into test requirements, identify automation opportunities, and develop test scripts for automated and manual exploratory testing. Your role will also involve owning responsibility for defect management, documenting processes, and overseeing performance validation. To excel in this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, along with 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a focus on Quality Engineering methodologies. Proficiency in technical skills such as Java, Selenium, Cucumber, and SQL is required. Experience in testing APIs, web user interfaces, and reports, as well as familiarity with CI/CD build pipelines, Agile methodologies, and version control tools, is highly beneficial. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to driving results are essential qualities for this role. Your willingness to innovate testing approaches, collaborate effectively in a team environment, and continuously improve processes will be key to success. Prior experience in Data Analysis and Engineering, along with a commitment to information security practices, will be advantageous in this position.
