Senior Software Engineer

The Opportunity You will spearhead the evolution of our data integration capabilities, crucial for automated metadata harvesting and understanding complex data lineage. As a Senior Software Engineer on our Pune Data Integration team, youll expand our out-of-the-box integrations using our API and SDK, taking significant ownership from design to delivery. You’ll connect to diverse data sources (including SQL databases) and bring their metadata into Solidatus for rich visualisation of data flows, enhanced with AI-driven insights and automation. Key responsibilities include: Designing intuitive layouts that represent data flow across complex deployments of diverse technologies. Designing and optimizing API connectivity and parsers to read metadata from various source systems. Exploring and championing new paradigms for representing data lineage, including contributing to our evolving AI-enhanced features. Enhancing our data ingestion capabilities to efficiently handle massive volumes of data. Collaborating with users, troubleshooting complex issues, and contributing to our culture of continuous improvement, shared learning (presenting at retros), and engineering excellence. About You We value a strong engineering mindset, a passion for learning, and excellent problem-solving skills. We’re not fixated on a specific tech stack; we believe in using the best tool for the job. Key skills and experience we’re looking for: 6-8 years of hands-on experience developing, delivering, and owning high-quality, scalable software. Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and Node.js. Solid understanding of databases, SQL dialects, and data structures . A proactive, self-starting attitude with the ability to own tasks and drive them to completion. Experience mentoring junior developers, performing code reviews, and promoting software engineering best practices. Nice-to-haves: Experience with C#, ASP.NET Core, TypeScript, or React.js.
