Senior Software Engineer (Java Low Latency Trading) - VP

As a senior technologist in the APAC Equities Electronic Trading team within Citi Equities Technology organization, your role will involve designing, developing, and delivering Citis next-gen low latency exchange connectivity and DMA platforms. You will collaborate closely with various teams to ensure the highest quality functionality for the equities business, aligning closely with the global strategy. Responsibilities: - Work with various Development teams to achieve established goals. - Design, develop, and support the low latency trade execution platform using your in-depth knowledge and skills. - Partner with the business to enhance product development and reduce application latency. - Maintain and improve testing frameworks, development tools, and environments supporting platform delivery. - Envision, design, and implement test cases for trading functions. - Drive Agile and Continuous Integration and AI process adoption. - Ensure adherence to essential procedures, best practices, and standards. Qualifications: - 14+ years of IT experience with at least 10 years in the Financial Service Industry, possessing strong technical expertise in core Java (preferably JDK17). - Desired experience with FIX protocol and/or binary protocols for market access. - Proficiency in using low latency software design and mechanical sympathy techniques for high throughput trading platforms. - Familiarity with microservices-based architecture. - Previous experience in automated trading platform development. - Strong understanding of automated testing techniques. - Proficiency in Agile methodologies and Continuous Integration processes. - Ability to prioritize tasks, set goals, and meet deadlines. - Excellent communication skills for presenting complex concepts in a multicultural environment.
